Blogging in 2026 feels cringe. Writting down your opinion on the internet for people to see. But people already do that on social media. And what's more cringe is finding a blog this obscure and hidden and hating on it. That's even more cringe. But you took your time to find this page and read this. I can't deny that there might be some value to this whole thing, since you felt inclined to come here instead of fucking off. Maybe you're someone I know wondering what the link in my bio was. Or you're just a stranger snooping around trying to find out who the hell this guy is. But thanks for looking here in the first place, it shows that you care a little.
This blog will serve as a collection of my thoughts, experiences and opinions in this small world. This whole website will be used as a sort of archive for a era of my life. I wanna look back at this in 20 years and see what I was thinking as a new college student. I might be wasting my time but I'd rather do this than the other things my generation thinks is "fun".
A large portion of this blog will likely be spent complaining on the state of the world, and the unfortunate nature of things. It's strange to feel like things are so divisive these days. Every single issue is now something where everyone is opposed to everyone else, and it's far too easy to turn everything into a debate. Especially in politics. Where people care more about winning an argument than actually listening to the other side, and making their opponent look bad rather than finding common ground. It's weird how the loudest voices are always the ones that have the least to say. It's hard to think that humanity as a whole isn't an embarassment for this planet, when we've accomplished amazing feats of creation while also ruining everything we touch and making life miserable for every animal we share the planet with. We are arguably the most intelligent species to ever exist, and yet it's rare for us to act like it, most of the time. It's disappointing, to see us self-destruct like this, but I think it's also part of what makes us a fascinating species to observe. There's so much potential that's wasted on so few individuals, it's disgusting.
But that's not to say everything is doomed, and people are universally terrible. There are still good people out there that do interesting things, or at least try to. That's actually another reason I'm excited about this blog. I'm actually going to be going to college soon, and I'm really looking forward to meeting new people, seeing what they do, and learning about their ideas and thoughts. I want to expand my interest in photography and see if I can find a job in something I enjoy. In this job market, I'll try to work without hating my life. Photography is a very special form of art. It is not like traditional art where some of the most simple pieces are meant to give you a feeling unlike any other. Especially in modern art where we can call stacked buckets of sand art. That's not art.
But with this blog and entering this new chapter in my life, I have to keep in mind that growing up and finding yourself is an odd process. You meet so many types of people from all kinds of walks of life, people with differing opinions, and different life experiences. One thing I have to really try not to do is be disappointed by the people I meet, especially those that act far worse than I would expect them to. They should be smarter, they have lived longer lives and should have more wisdom. But the truth is, nobody is really wiser as they get older, they just tend to act more like it. Adults act like they expect everyone around them to know more than they do, and they are far too willing to start fights when people don't agree with them. I hope to find people who are open minded to others, and willing to acknowledge when they are at fault. It's a sad reality, but humans are a sad species. They are often unwilling to grow and learn throughout their lives, and as a result we are still far too similar to the animals we consider ourselves to be above.
Whether this blog will become something important or just fade away into the past after a few years is something I think only time will tell. But I suspect I'll always look back on it fondly, and that it will always serve as a sort of reminder to me about who I used to be. I'm embarking on a new journey, and this is just the beginning. So I'm going to make the most of it while it lasts, and for now, I'm just glad you've taken the time to read my blog. You're someone who really cared to sit down and read this post, which is something I think is special. In this era of everything being disposable and quickly discarded for something newer, you've taken the time to really sit down and read something lengthy instead of skimming over it. You've shown care for my thoughts and words in a way that you likely didn't realize, but I appreciate it all the same. Maybe blogs aren't so embarassing after all.
